Game Elite and GA United decided to “Unite as One” during the 2013 AAU Season for the betterment of our TOP ATHLETES and to combine two of the strongest 7th Grade Teams in the State of GA and the Nation. GA United finished #2 (6th Grade AAU Nationals) last season and Game Elite established itself as a strong contender reaching the Elite Eight in the Classic Bracket. With the addition and experience of Rodney Jr, Rapheal and Realus – The Team is gearing up to BATTLE for the #1 Spot in June (Memphis, TN) at the 7th Grade AAU National Championship. The Team has already “Dominated” the GA AAU State Qualifier.

After trailing in the late stretch in Memphis, Georgia United found it within themselves to beat the heavily favored IZOD 64-57 to win the 7th grade AAU National Championship in Memphis. Eight-seven team made a run at the national title, but it was the boys from the Peach State that captured the crown. Georgia United was the considerable underdog but they didn’t react that way at first. They took it to the New Jersey squad for an early 20-2 lead. Soon thereafter, Georgia United was in a dogfight until the end.Prolific scoring by James Lewis and the teams relentless defense helped them hold on to win the championship. Lewis finished with 25 points. Corderius Hastings added 17 points. Georgia United was actually the combination of two teams. Rodney Lewis, Head Coach of Game Elite, brought over three players as both organizations came together for the results they achieved. Coach Lewis, no relation to James, had his son Rodney Lewis Jr., Raphael Rogers and Realus George Jr. on the team, which averaged 72 points per game in bracket play.
