Rodney Lewis is a former high school baseball and football star who played wide receiver for Benedictine Ravens in Detroit Michigan. He led his team to an 8-2 record his senior year and received 1st Team All League in a very competitive conference. He later attended Saint Joseph’s College on scholarship in Indiana where he was a four-time starter at wide receiver, two-time offensive team MVP and two-time All-Conference player.

Moving to Georgia in 1996, he began his involvement with youth sports at the Smyrna Recreational Center. He further supported and offered assistance to other recreational centers, such as: Marietta, Fair Oaks, South Cobb and College Park. He began his AAU involvement by forming the Georgia Blue Devils youth organization in 2002. His concept and teams were very successful. He made sure each player in the organization displayed good sportsmanship and received valued experience by traveling to out-of-state tournaments.
